With the popularity of plant-based diets rising at an incredible rate, we cannot help but wonder how it is possible that there are so few good vegan meal deliveries out there. Fortunately, there are a couple of them worth mentioning and Purple Carrot is one of them. While its weekly menus feature only 2 or 3 meal kits, it is obvious that the Purple Carrot team is dedicated to quality. Based on our experience so far, the ingredients are fresh and natural, the recipes are rather easy, and the end result is always a delicious, photo-worthy meal. If you are thinking about ordering from Purple Carrot but are not sure what to expect, here are a couple of quick facts about Purple Carrot menus.
Purple Carrot Menu For 1-2 People
Just like its name suggests, this menu features meal kits that yield 2 servings, so they can satisfy two people or 1 hungry person who likes leftovers. The weekly menu includes 3 dishes that usually take around half an hour to make. You can expect to find all kinds of veggie stews, quesadillas, risottos, pasta, and various classic dishes, redesigned to suit the vegan diet and enriched with the addition of one or two unexpected or exotic ingredients.
Purple Carrot Menu For 3-4 People
At the moment, Purple Carrot menu for 3-4 persons is not available, but it is expected to return in Q1 of 2018. In the past, this menu featured 2 meal kits that yielded 4 servings. The meals were quite similar to the ones available with the 1-2 person menu, although a bit more kid-friendly. Since there were many customers who were disappointed by the lack of variety, we hope that Purple Carrot will redesign this menu in accordance with the needs and desires of its patrons and offer at least a couple more meals per week.
Purple Carrot TB12 Performance Menu
TB12 Performance menu is designed for athletes and people who are physically active and want to maximize the results of their workout. The weekly menu includes 3 meal kits that yield 2 servings. The main difference between the standard and Performance meals lies in the fact that Performance meals do not contain gluten, they are richer in protein and calories, and they contain very little soy and refined sugar. The prep and cook time is usually around 30-45 minutes.
While we cannot say that we are impressed by the range of meal kits available on Purple Carrot menus, we still like what this service is offering. It is obvious that its chefs truly understand the vegan diet and their creativity is reflected in every dish.
